How to play on your phone
Open MimicBox in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android), create a room or enter a friend's code, allow the microphone when asked, and play. The interface is built for phones first: big buttons, one recording window, a waveform you can follow with your thumb.
Each player uses their own phone. At home, put one phone on speaker for the original sound, or use headphones in a call.
Tips for iPhone and Android
- iPhone: switch the silent mode off, otherwise the game sounds are muted. Safari and Chrome both work.
- Android: Chrome is the safest choice. If the microphone permission was refused once, reset it in the site settings.
- Use headphones when playing over a call, so your friends' voices do not leak into your recording.
- A stable connection helps: the room runs live and each take is sent to the other players in real time.
Is there an app?
Not yet. The browser version is the full game, updated regularly, and it works the same on every device. An app may come later; the web version will stay free. Note that MimicBox is not related to the Steam game Mimic Party, which has no mobile version.

Can phone and computer players be in the same room?
Yes. The room does not care about the device, only about the code.
